Sisters of Divine Providence
God Space is a ministry sponsored by the Congregation of Divine Providence of Kentucky, an international congregation of Catholic Sisters. The mission Sisters of Divine Providence is “to be living witnesses to the Providence of God. God’s love becomes real in us as we go out to be Providence to others through the works of mercy.”
Beginning in France, the CDPs continue to serve people and to reflect the face of God’s loving Providence throughout the world. Sisters are educators, healthcare professionals, pastoral associates, and directors of religious education. We work with immigrants, young adults, children, and elderly persons. We are involved in peace and justice work as well as spiritual direction and retreats. In whatever ministry we do, we seek to serve those most in need, especially women and children.
Sisters of Divine Providence live our vowed life together in community, sharing life and prayer as we serve the people of God.
The evangelical quality of our life "makes us signs of hope, living expressions of the benevolent tenderness of God.” (Constitutions of the Congregation of Divine Providence)

Associates of the Congregation of Divine Providence of Kentucky
Besides Sisters, there are also non-vowed members in the family of Divine Providence. Associates of Divine Providence don’t profess religious vows but embody Providence spirituality in their daily lives in whatever vocation God calls them to — marriage, single life, or even priesthood.
No matter our career, Associates use our gifts and talents to serve the people of God, all the while reflecting simplicity, poverty, simplicity, and abandonment to Providence, the virtues to which our Providence spirituality calls us.
Like Sisters, the Associate Community is international, with members spread throughout the world and connected by Providence, prayer, and relationships with each other. People of all genders and denominations are welcome to become Associates!
This is the mission of the Associates of Divine Providence: We are a community of God’s people who, inspired by the spirituality and charism of Blessed Jean Martin Moye and in relationship with the Sisters of Divine Providence of Kentucky, act as instruments of God’s providence for the world by practicing the spiritual and corporal works of mercy with a spirit of simplicity, poverty, charity, and abandonment to Divine Providence.
Is God calling you to connect more deeply with community, to belong to something bigger? Why not learn a little more about becoming an Associate? Send us an email and we’ll be in touch. No commitment, just exploring!
God knows all your needs since God knows everything; God can provide for them since God is all-powerful; God wills to do so, since God loves us as children. What could you be troubled about?”
