Here are some guided meditations and reflections. We hope you find them helpful.
Prayer of St. Teresa of Avila
St. Teresa’s prayer reminds us that all is in God’s hands, and so we don’t need to worry about anything. You can also sing this prayer with the Community of Taizé here.
Providence Examen
The examen prayer is a way of looking with God back over your day, noticing how God was with you and how you responded to God’s invitation to draw near to God. This way of praying was developed by St. Ignatius Loyola, and Jesuits, as well as people all through the world, enter into this reflective prayer daily. You can find out more here.
For our purposes, here’s a guided meditation with a Providence slant. As you listen, you can notice God’s love and care in your life’s circumstances, and you can open in trust to God’s provident love for you.
Act of Abandonment Divine Providence
This is an important prayer for Sisters and Associates of Divine Providence — and many other people too! Sometimes it’s comforting and sometimes it’s challenging, but it’s always a reminder of God’s loving care. You can pray along with the video or use pray on your own.
